We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Collab Talent Solutions team, Daniel Carbone!

With his extensive background in B2B sales within the technology sector and a genuine passion for all things tech, Daniel is perfectly positioned to connect top-tier talent with exciting opportunities. We sat down with him to discuss his journey into recruitment, his areas of expertise, and what he enjoys doing when he’s not helping people find their dream job.

Welcome, Dan!

Could you tell us about your professional background and what led you to become a Technology Recruitment Consultant?

“I started my career in B2B sales, working with clients in the FinTech, IT Hardware, Software and AI sectors. Whilst I really enjoyed the client-facing aspect and learning about the different technologies, I always found an interest in the people behind the tech.

I found that I was good at connecting with others and understanding their needs, which naturally led me to recruitment. The opportunity to specialise in technology at Collab Talent Solutions was a perfect fit for me, as it combines mt industry knowledge with my passion for helping people find their next move.”

What areas of the Technology sector will you focusing on here at Collab?

“I’ll be covering a broad range of roles, from Project and Product Management to Software Development and Engineering. My focus will also include IT Operation & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Design & User Experience, and Data and AI. I’m looking forward to partnering with businesses across the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, and Thames Valley to help them find the right talent to grow their teams.”

What have you enjoyed most about working in the Technology sector so far?

“The thing I love most is how dynamic and fast-paced it is. Technology is always evolving, and it’s exciting to be at the forefront of that change. I get to speak with innovative companies and talented professionals every day, which keeps things interesting. It’s a sectors that truly impacts how we live and work, and I find it incredibly rewarding to play a part in that.”

When you’re not connecting with tech professionals, what do you like to do in your free time?

“I’m a big fan of gaming – I can get pretty competitive with traditional games like RuneScape, World of Warcraft and other MMOs. I also love to stay active with a good game of squash, a great way to unwind and clear my head after a busy week.”

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a candidate looking for a new role in technology right now?

“My number one tip would be to focus on your skills and keep learning. The tech landscape changes so quickly, and showing that you’re proactive about professional development is a huge plus. Also, don’t underestimate the power of networking and a well-crafted LinkedIn profile. Having a personal brand is more important than ever so be sure to routinely post about career-relevant achievements that you’re making.”

“…and of course, don’t hesitate to reach out to a recruiter like me to help you navigate the job market!”

…and finally, how can candidates and clients reach out to you?

“The best way to connect with me is through LinkedIn, you can click here to view my profile. For direct inquiries, feel free to drop me an email at daniel@collabtalentsolutions.co.uk or give me a call at 07441 345119. I’m always happy to chat with candidates about their career goals or with clients looking to build their teams.”
